Keeping your Car working Properly with Inspections

by | Mar 18, 2019 | Car Care Tips, Inspections, Maintained, maintenance

Regular maintenance is always important for the overall condition and performance of your vehicle. You can help keep the car working like new by following inspections and scheduled tasks. One place you can look is in the vehicle owner’s manual. If you are still unsure or cannot find the manual, we can also provide you with when the vehicle should be maintained. Having it inspected and looked over will help ensure all the parts and components are working like new and as they should be.

Inspecting the Tires

The tires should be inspected on a regular basis, and especially before you travel. Check to make sure that the correct amount of air is in each tire. This will help them to be inflated to the amount they should be, and rotate properly. A tire that is too low can run the risk of blowing when you are driving. In the winter or when it is colder out, you may notice that the air goes down quicker. That is because for every ten degree drop, the tires can lose a pound per square inch of air. If a tire needs air often, it could be a sign of damage or a nail might be stuck in the tire.

Fluid Inspections

The fluid levels should also be inspected for your vehicle. Doing so will help to ensure that the engine is working properly. The oil lubricates it to help prevent grinding or and strain against other parts under the hood. If you notice that the vehicle needs to have oil added in often, there could be a leak in the hoses somewhere. Always make sure to notice any issues, and have them repaired as soon as possible. Doing so can help prevent further damage in the long run.
