When inspecting the vehicle for the condition of parts, also remember about the belts and hoses that are under the hood. These parts are often forgotten about until there is an issue with them. The belts and hoses are both important parts of the vehicle because without them, the vehicle cannot operate. If you notice any squealing or odd noises from under the hood, it could mean that the belts or hoses have become loose. It could also mean that they are damaged and will need to be replaced soon. Belts can become worn out with time and start to wear out where they will need to be replaced. The same is true for the hoses. They may also develop a hole in them and start to leak when the vehicle operates.

Over time the belts will fray and start to show signs of wearing. They will then need to be replaced. This can help keep all the other moving parts in the vehicle operating at top performance. If a belt slips, it can do a significant amount of damage to the vehicle. Anytime you hear a noise from under the hood, make sure to schedule an appointment with us. This will help you to prevent further damage to other parts of the vehicle.

Also remember to check the hoses of your vehicle. The hoses can start to wear down with age. There may also be an issue if there is a hole or puncture mark in them. This can cause the hoses to leak. If this happens, the vehicle will not be able to run at top performance levels or efficiency. You might notice a wet spot on the ground where you park, which may indicate a leak from your vehicle. It is recommended to bring the vehicle in so we can repair the source of the leak, before parts of the vehicle are damaged. This can help you to have a safe and reliable vehicle when you drive this summer.
