During the cold, winter months, you will want to make sure your battery is properly charged. The temperatures can drain the battery quickly when it is cold. When there is a problem with how the vehicle starts, it could be caused by the battery, alternator, or even the starter. It is always best to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it for what the specific issue might be. If there is a problem with any of the parts, we can advise you on the options you have to repair and replace it. Doing so will help to improve the reliability of the vehicle.

With age and wear, the battery will start to become less efficient for the vehicle. You will notice that it starts poorly. Sometimes the vehicle may start to turn over, but does not continue to do so. Other times you may notice just a clicking sound when you attempt to start the vehicle. When the battery is completely dead, it will not even make a clicking noise. If you are not sure the age of the battery, chances are that it would be time for a replacement.

Starter and Alternator

To help the vehicle start, the alternator, starter, and battery all need to be in the best working condition and able to be efficient. If one is bad, then the vehicle will have more issues starting. By having the vehicle properly inspected, issues can be resolved before they cause further damage and issues with the vehicle. When you go to regular maintenance appointments, these components can be checked for the condition and efficiency as well. If you notice an issue with the vehicle, always make sure that you contact us to schedule an appointment. This will help your vehicle to safe and reliable this winter.
