After the cold winter months, always make sure that you check the tires fully. They can become damaged because of the harsh winter weather. There are several things that each tire should be inspected for. One of the first things is to check each tire to ensure that it has the proper air pressure in it. Over time, air can leak out of the tire. This is especially true during colder months. When the temperature drops ten degrees, you will notice that the tire starts to lose a pound per square inch of air. If this happens frequently, you will want to make sure to schedule an appointment. That way we can inspect the tires for any sign of an issue.

You will also want to have the tires aligned regularly as well. By doing so you can help ensure that they are rotating correctly as you drive. If you are not sure if the alignment is good, you can check the tread wear. By doing so, you will notice how it is wearing. If it is wearing unevenly, then an alignment for the tires may be needed. You can check the tread by taking a penny and placing it upside down in the tread of each tire. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, then the tread has worn out. This will result in the tires needing to be replaced for your tires.

Another inspection of the tires should include the rotating of the tires. This way it can help ensure that the tires last as long as possible. We can check to see when a tire rotation would be best for the tires. If one side of the tire is wearing more than another, rotating them will help to balance them out. This will also help make sure your vehicle is more reliable and comfortable on the road.
